Hi Brian, I have NetBeans 21 running well on Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224) on the M1 chip.
Product Version: Apache NetBeans IDE 21 Java: 17.0.7; OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM 17.0.7+7-LTS Runtime: OpenJDK Runtime Environment 17.0.7+7-LTS System: Mac OS X version 14.4.1 running on aarch64; UTF-8; en_GB (nb) This was installed from the standard distribution. Choose the .dmg. No need for anything special, just use the installer. The .dmg files are, I think, properly signed for the Apple verification system. Learn why this is important<https://aka.ms/LearnAboutSenderIdentification> Hi Brian, I don't know the answer but for clarification: Where did you get NB from, and was it a zip or app package? What happened when you tried to open it - an error or nothing at all? Possibly this link might help? https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mh40616/mac Hope this gets sorted out, Peter On Thu, 25 Apr 2024 at 05:46, Brian Allison (ISSRS) <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> wrote: I just got my new MacBook Air with Sanoma 14 installed. I just installed Netbeans IDE 21. When I click on the app it will not open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and rebooted the computer. HELP!
