Weâve upgraded directly from 1.28.1 to 2.6. It worked, but at first the server wouldnât start correctly. We had to mess around with some renamed controller services and nar bundles (for example using DistributedMapCacheClient/Server to MapCacheClient/Server). According to Jira, those breaking changes happened in 2.0.0 already (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-13596)
so I donât think youâd have a smoother upgrade by going to 2.0.0 first. Btw, 2.7 was unusable to us because of memory leaks in the DBCP connection pools. We went for 2.6 instead, but it should be fixed in 2.8 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-15372
Kind regards,
Isha

One more question for migration, do I HAVE to migrate to 2.0 first and then to 2.7.2 ? Thanks
