I like this software suite a lot but I need to be able to use it in the
business world. Thank you for your time.

You are in good company. It will all depend on how demanding use in the
business world happens
to be. You know what the easy answer is. You saves your money and you
takes your chances.

If you can limit what you do to what can round-trip via the Microsoft
OneDrive and Office on the
Web applications, you should be on safe ground and also have a way to
interact with folks who
use Microsoft Office programs from their Macintosh, iPhone, iPad, and
Android devices.

<orcnote> Afterthought:
The preceding remark is about ensuring that what you produce will
interchange well with
    users of Microsoft Office software.

The difficult case is documents produced by users of Microsoft Office
software that
you may need to be able to view with good fidelity and perhaps are expected
to be
able to modify in some manner and return. There is a naïve assumption that
everyone
can handle those documents and there's not much to be done about that.

If you use OpenOffice and have no Office 365 subscription, there are still
options
on Windows. First, there are free viewers for Word and for PowerPoint
documents.
Also, you still have OneDrive's free Office Web Applications that you might
be able
to use whenever viewing or editing in OpenOffice is unsuccessful. This is
a little
more work in moving documents to OneDrive, using your browser for viewing
and even
editing, etc. If you are unemployed or (semi-)retired, the trading of
labor versus
Expense may work for you. It also depends on how expert you are or intend
to be
    With these personal-productivity software packages.
