I think there may have been some web
 site problems that impacted you.

Usually the three options are filled in automatically based
 on what is
 Detected from your browser.

What version of Internet Explorer are you running on Windows
 XP?

 Thank you for your response.

I am attempting to upgrade my 3.1.1.version of Open Office
 on my old
 computer using Windows XP.

Yes I`m using website as shown below. When I click on site
 I`m asked to fill
in 3 boxes namely favourite operating system, language, and
 version.
Clicking on these options produces nil information. I then
 click on
"Download full installation" and connected to
 Sourceforge site and then
 message appears stating
" We were unable to return you to sourceforge.net. Internet
 Explorer has
stopped trying to restore this website. It appears that the
 website
continues to have a problem. Another message appears stating
 that Internet
Explorer attempts to restore site and it stops after 2
 attempts to avoid and
 endless loop

 Thank you,

 Colin Hambidge

Security will ignore the issue of a site certificate.
 The security list is
for vulnerabilities identified in the software.

Is the download of version 4.1.1 being obtained via
 <http://www.openoffice.org/download/>?  This
 should not present any security
 warning.

Please confirm which machine the download is being attempted
 on.  Also, what
browser is being used on that machine.

PS: Please reply to the list.  It is important to have
 other experts be able
to follow the problem and for the community to know what
 solutions work.

Which software did you use when viewing them?
Did you make sure that every font used in your document is
 installed in you
new computer? If not, another font may be used in its place,
 which could
mess things up a little, such as where pages begin and end.

There shouldn't be, as far as I noticed.

Which one is ”this computer”? The old one or the new
 one?

Ah, the old one, right? I can't imagine why an iMac would
 throw up
 Microsoft warning messages… :P

Did you try to download with a proper web browser?
