I'm just guessing now. When you have the current program that is telling you that the same program is also running, try going to the upper right hand corner and click on the diminish symbol to make the program you are working on disappear from the big screen and rest in its diminished form on the task bar. Once the current screen is diminished, then anything that was working in the background will appear. Good luck
