If it's gray in the recents I think it means that the file does no longer exist at that particular place. Maybe you moved it or accidently deleted it? I would try to search for it on the whole drive and in the trash. If I didn't find it I would just get it back from my daily backups. Maybe you make your daily backups on an external hard drive or ”the cloud” somewhere, usb stick, memory card, I don't know. Hopefully you know…
