Yes, that drop-down menu box is called the Name Box, but the names
themselves are called just "names".
To define a name for a cell range:
o Select the range.
o Go to Insert | Names > | Define... .
o Enter a name.
o OK.
To delete a name:
o Go to Insert | Names > | Define... .
o Select the name.
o Delete.
o Yes.
o OK.
To modify the definition of a name:
o Go to Insert | Names > | Define... .
o Select the existing name.
o Drag across the new range.
o Modify.
o OK.
You could always modify any definition by deleting the existing one
and creating a new one in the same name, of course.
