Hi,

I have created a document in OpenOffice, then cut and pasted into an AOL
e-mail that I was sending. The document had frequent places where a space was
lost. For instance, I typed "the quick brown fox jumped..." and when pasted
into
the E-mail, it showed up as "thequick brown foxjumped...". The "lost spaces"
were irregularly placed, and did not appear to be at the end of a line.
There were about 10 or 15 lost spaces in a page of text.

As a test, I copied and pasted the document into WordPad, then copied and
pasted from WordPad into the E-mail, and there were no lost spaces.

Any ideas as to why that happened and how to avoid it.

As a second problem, I received a Word document as an attachment to an E-mail
from a friend, and all the spaces in the document showed up as a "dot". Not
a period, but a dot. She said that she didn't type it that way, but that's
what I received when I opened it up. Any clues?

Thanks in advance.

Jack
