You should have no particular problems running both MS Office and 
OpenOffice.org (its correct name). However, before installing you need 
to read very carefully the SETUP-GUIDE.pdf which comes with the 
program. The specific part of the setup guide to read carefully is the 
section on file associations.

If the OpenOffice.org program on the CD is a zip file, it will have to 
be extracted first to a folder. Make sure to write down where this 
folder is located on your hard drive. That folder will contain a very 
large number of files including SETUP-GUIDE.pdf and setup.exe. 

If the OpenOffice.org program has already been extracted before being 
burned to the CD, enter that folder to find the two files I mentioned 
in the above paragraph.
