[users] Drawing Question - Closed Bezier curve crossing self

I want to create a filled, closed curve in the shape of a ribbon, (for 
those in USA) like the "Support our Troops" ribbons people.  This 
drawing is like a ribbon in a loop, which creates a hole in the middle 
of the drawing, and the tails of the ribbon cross each other.  The 
problem is that where the filled object crosses itself, it creates a 
transparent hole.  This is not desired.  How do I eliminate it?
