For some reason this does not work. I have the slide icon on the left a
small preview in a separate window on the right but no text to select
anywhere in sight.
I used NO/J (RC with patch3) and OOo 1.93 with exactly the same results.
The original file is a .ppt file that I converted to .swi.
Doesn't surprize me. I am guessing that you are using one of the beta candidates. Please let us know what release of OOo you are actually using and what OS is on your machine.
