I've got this document, with a main section and then an appendix in the
end. Both sections use the Heading 2 style for sub-headings within them,
which are also numbered 1,2,3...
BUT, when I enter the Appendix section, I need its subheadings to start
numbering from 1, not from 6 as they currently do (I have 5 subheadings
in the main section, hence the '6').
Do you have your numbering set via Tools|Outline numbering? Or did you
apply a numbering to the paragraph (styles) of heading 1 & 2?
If you did the latter, you should revert that and only use Tools|Outline
numbering.
If I did not understand your request right, would you pls explain again?
