You don't tell us where you got the 'evaluation' version of X11 for OS X, but i'd be willing to bet that you downloaded X11 for Panther - this was somewhat of a public beta. Look more closely here: http:// porting.openoffice.org/mac/faq/installing/X11.html#tiger . Tiger's X11 is not online anywhere, and is only installed from a Tiger Install or Restore disk. Hopefully you still have it somewhere.
