Hi Drew,

I am a little confused with the various Java versions installed as
standard with YaST and OpenSUSE-Updater on my OpenSUSE 10.3. I installed
the community repos, and did an update. At the moment the following is
installed:

java-1_4_2-cacao - Java Virtual Machine (JVM) - Arch: x86_64 - Version:
0.97-86 - Build: Sat 22 Sep 2007 09:04:02 AM CEST - Vendor: SUSE LINUX
Products GmbH, Nuernberg, Germany
java-1_4_2-cacao-devel - Use cacao and ecj as a JDK - alles ditto
java-1_4_2-gcj-compat - JPackage Runtime Scripts for GCJ - Arch: ditto -
Version: 1.4.2.0-177 - Build: Sat 22 Sep 2007 07:11:11 AM CEST - Vendor:
ditto
java-1_4_2-gcj-compat-devel - JPackage development scripts for GCJ -
alles ditto
(No Alternatives offered in YaST for the above)

java-1_5_0-sun - Java(TM) 5 Runtime Environment - Arch: x86_64 -
Version: 1.5.0_update16-1.1 - Build: Tue 15 Jul 2008 03:05:41 AM CEST -
Vendor: ditto
(OLDER Alternative offered: java-1_5_0-sun - Java(TM) 5 Runtime
Environment - Arch: x86_64 - 1.5.0_update12-23 - Build: Fri 21 Sep 2007
09:21:29 PM CEST - Vendor: ditto)

What is available is:
java-1_6_0-sun - Java(TM) 6 Runtime Environment - Arch: x86_64 -
Version: 1.6.0.u1-26 - Build: Fri 21 Sep 2007 09:26:01 PM CEST - Vendor:
SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Nuernberg, Germany
java-1_6_0-sun-devel - Java(TM) 6 SDK, Standard Edition - alles ditto
java-1_6_0-sun-jdbc - JDBC/ODBC bridge driver for java-1_6_0-sun - alles
ditto
java-1_6_0-sun-plugin - Browser plugin files for java-1_6_0-sun - alles
ditto
java-1_6_0-sun-alsa - ALSA support for java-1_6_0-sun - alles ditto
java-1_6_0-sun-demo - Demonstration files for java-1_6_0-sun - alles ditto
(It also requires addittionally for dependency: unixODBC - Version:
2.2.12-55 which it also downloads automatically)

I deleted all java-1_4_2 and java-1_5_0, and installed the java-1_6_0
available in YaST.

No difference in Base :-( The links still do not get saved in
Relationships. I even created a clean Base Example Database with
Accounts and Expenses. Here too the Relationships do not get saved.

Anyone with OpenSUSE 10.3 and a newer java than 1_6_0-sun that is
offered in YaST?

:-(
Al
