Hi Gene, My name is Carlos. I followed your advice to solve the proble with
the crashes loops but the problem still remain.
Documents and settings/<user>/Application
data/Openoffice.org2/user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Recovery.xcu.
Att the last map called Office there are another map called UI and 8
documents (Recovery, WriterWeb, Common,UI, Jobs, Views, Linguistic, and
Writer) I have delete the file Recovery, Nothing has hapened with the
settings for Autosave. After this procedurs I open OOo.org and Writer I try
to generate a new empty document, writer open a new one and after I started
to write one or two capitas or small letters the restore windows begining to
run to restore this "untitel" document.
If I try to open an existing document Writer open the document and after one
or two seconds do the same and try to restore both the untitel document and
the old existing document too!!!
I don't know if I have to delet all the 8 ducumentos I named before or if
there was only the Recovery one.

I have caused OOo 3.0 to crash, but mainly by pasting in web pages.
Could I suggest that you try and copy and then within OOo 3.0 ">Edit
>Paste special" this should allow you to paste the link into OOo 3.0 as
"unformatted text". I think this should work.
I do not think that a reinstall will help as the crash seems to be
connected with the editing of the information before it is pasted.
Can you please let us know if this works.

That was not the question. Every time he tries to re-start Writer,
Writer tries to restore the previous (crashed) document. This leads to
another crash and an endless loop of re-start and crash. He was
inquiring about how to stop Writer from trying to restore the bad
document on re-open. I do not know the answer so I am hoping someone
else may be able to assist him.

I have located the solution. This behavior is due to a known bug.
"To stop the recovery process, you can delete the file - Documents and
settings/<user>/Application
data/Openoffice.org2/user/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Recovery.xcu.
"Beware, it resets the settings for Autosave in the
Tools>Options>Load/Save>General dialog."
I hope that fixes your problem.
