Hi

last time I wrote we were talking about extensions and about being reminded over and over again about downloadable extensions we don't want. For example, I don't want the American English dictionary as I use the Australian English one. Someone suggested uninstalling the things you don't want, and then you will not be alerted to downloadable upgrades, so, next time I was asked if i wanted the latest American English dictionary upgrade I clicked on the button which said "uninstall this extension" (this button was in the extensions pop-up screen).

Now, in Outlook Express (Win XP) I cannot spell check my outgoing e-mails.

I presume that I have unwittingly uninstalled the dictionary the Outlook Express uses to spell check e-mails. This surprises me as the OE dictionary is a M$ product and I uninstalled from an OOo screen.

I would be much obliged if any of you can:
1.  comment on what I might have done wrong;
2.  tell me where the OE dictionary resides;
3. tell me what I need to do to regain spell check functinality in OE - ie put a dictionary in a place that OE can both read and understand.

This information will also help me with my customers, as one of the challenges in giving customers OOo instead of M$ Office is that they then do not have an OE spell checker. I found one on the Internet but it is very American - ideally, I would like an Aussie one if there is one available, or, failing that, UK English.

Many thanks,  James

PS please forgive any typos - no spell checker!!
