I have a lenovo S10 netbook with 1GB of RAM and 94GB of free space on my hard

or just the three I need? Is it possible to do a custom install?

Thanks for the help!

You can't really install separate apps in OOo, as they share so much of
the code there's little benefit in doing so.

If your netbook is running Windows you can install OpenOffice on a USB drive. The version of OpenOffice you need is available, free, from www.portableapps.com
This version makes *no* changes to the Windows registry.
