Well, you can in Draw... :-/

Here's a POSSIBLE workaround for you. No promises, as I'm using OOo 1.9 (and you're probably using 1.1), and I don't want to actually modify my own settings.

  1. Go to Tools -> Options
  2. Expand the OpenOffice.org option
  3. Click on Colors
  4. Select 'blue 7' from the drop down list
  5. Click on the Edit... button
  6. Muck around till you get the colour you DO want
  7. Click on OK
  8. Click on the Modify button

Theoretically, your default 'blue 7' will now be your desired colour.

ANy luck?

Can I change the default fill color of shapes inserted in a document using drawing functions (in writer or globally)? It is always the "blue 7"; I'd like to make it white by default or with no filling at all.
