Not on mine (OOo 2.4.1 on Ubuntu Hardy) it doesn't. In Tools -> Internet -> 
Email 
I tried both the name of the progam (alpine) and the absolute path to the 
executable.
Neither worked. The error message claimed it couldn't find a working email 
configuration.
