Aside - not to OP. Little MAC experience. Hanna is not alone. Newer Microsoft Word versions do not support older DOC versions on windows. Older WinWord formats were a type of RTF, AFAIK some were plain text some were a binary version. Does anyone know if this was the case with older MAC-Word documents. If this was so then they _might_ be able to be opened as RTF documents. Alternatively there may be a third party converter Hanna can use[1]. Like a Microsoft Word Document Viewer for MAC's with copy and paste.
