The OOo Issue Tracker needs you to set up a login for the website before you can report a bug. In this case, there probably really isn't one -- a lot of people are using and modifying dictionaries on similar configurations. I just added an entry to the standard dictionary on my system (Win7 64-bit, OOo 3.1.1), closed OOo, restarted it and opened a new document, and the entry was there as expected. One possibility -- do you have the OOo QuickStarter in operation? (There would be an icon with seagulls in your system tray.) That sometimes interferes with making changes stick. In that case, if you right-click on the QuickStarter icon and select Exit, then make your changes, they might be there when you come back into OOo. I've taken QuickStarter out of my Startup menu; if you have an issue with startup time, you can leave OOo up with no open documents to avoid delays when you want to open something. The worst delays come when you have the option to automatically check for updates selected; then OOo has to make the internet connection before it starts.

By the way, please reply only to the list ([email protected]), so others can help as needed.

I added it as new bug into:
http://sw.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=swneedsconfirm&msgNo=19106

But they are reject me.

I installed OO into c:\OpenOffice directory. I added all right to all user
to it.
To user directory of the OO I have all rights.

What right I need to advance in this question? What file is missing? What

Please help me, I need to use OO and spell checking!

Hi!

I installed OO (OOO320m19 (Build:9505)) under Win7/X64, into C:\OO
directory.

Everything is working except the "Add to dictionary" in check spelling.

This is disabled, or if enabled then not working.
I cannot add new dictionary, because if I do it, I cannot add elements to
it, and in the next start of OO they are (dicts) vanished.

Please help me: how to add a new dictionary, or how to add exceptions?

Thanks:
   dd
