Today I have a test Ubuntu 10.10 Alpha 3 system running. It has the
go-oo/novell/Ubuntu 'OOO320m18 (Build:9502) ooo-build 3.2.1.3 Ubuntu
package 1:3.2.1~rc2-2ubuntu1' on it. I'll try exporting your test doc
from that version& see it happens there as well. If so, then the bug
will be pinned down between (U)OOo 3.2.0 (1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1):
$ cat /usr/lib/openoffice/program/versionrc
[Version]
AllLanguages=en-US
BuildVersion=ooo-build 3.2.0.10, Debian 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1, Thu Jun 3
02:15:29 UTC 2010
buildid=320m12(Build:9483)
ExtensionUpdateURL=http://updateext.services.openoffice.org/ProductUpdateService/check.Update

OOOBaseVersion=3.2
ProductBuildid=9483
ProductMajor=320
ProductMinor=12
ProductSource=OOO320
UpdateID=OpenOffice.org_3_en-US
UpdateURL=
UpdateUserAgent=<PRODUCT> (${buildid}; ${_OS}; ${_ARCH};
BundledLanguages=${AllLanguages})
Vendor=Debian and Ubuntu

OK, I just tested with 'OOO320m18 (Build:9502) ooo-build 3.2.1.3 Ubuntu
package 1:3.2.1~rc2-2ubuntu1' and have the same error/issue when
attempting to print from Adobe Reader 9.3.3 (it does print from Evince).
So the problem is between that version and the (U)OOo (go-oo/novell)
3.2.0 version.

As well I told you in my previous mail. Thank you for testing, however.

Note to others reading this thread: Standard OOo 3.2.1 and OOo Dev 3.3.0
do not have this problem, only the go-oo/novell versions do (AFAICT).

I'd like to know where this bug appear and where was fixed in the
various milestones and/or if it's only due to a particular Novell /
OpenSuSE build script or packetization or code changes...

We haven't to forget, indeed, that:

- Standard ("vanilla") OOo 3.2.1 (OOO320m18 (Build:9502))
- Novell OOo 3.2.1.4 (OOO320m19 (Build:9505))

Is the m19 bugged or Novell / OpenSuSE / Go-OO package that onlu has
this bug?

This is an important question that must be given an answer.

Carlo

A better look to the various builds (Ubuntu included) and to your mail yields:

- Standard ("vanilla")      OOo 3.2.1   (OOO320m18 (Build:9502))
- Ubuntu package      ooo-build 3.2.1.3 (OOO320m18 (Build:9502))
- Novell / OpenSuSE / Go-OO OOo 3.2.1.4 (OOO320m19 (Build:9505))

and, excepting errors, we have to give the bugs source to Novell / OpenSuSE / Go-OO / Ubuntu "packing" because both Standard 3.2.1 and Ubuntu 3.2.1.3 start from OOO320m18 at th same build!

So we must change the process that yields to this and possibly others bugs. Don't you think is the only right way?

Carlo
