You can use Xming to set up an X server on Windows, but it's nowhere near as easy as using X on Linux. Putty will work and I have used it to remotely run X apps on Windows. It may be possible to set up an icon, as I mentioned for Linux, but I haven't tried that. You may have better luck the ssh client in Cygwin.
