Your probably the wrong group to ask this question but here goes anyway.  I have 7 columns of data . Five will use the Y axis, one will be the x axis data and 1 will be an X  axis overlay or some other form of positional data labeling.  I wish to use the third column of numbers for plotting but need to align column 2 with column 3 so that the chart will make sense to someone looking at it.  In other words 1/2 will lineup with 3.1161 on the chart.   Can you give me a push in the right direction?
