To edit the K-Menu right click the K icon and choose menu editor. You can delete/add new items, or just redirect your existing items to the new installation.

Greetings;

I recently installed OpenOffice2.0 final, and had previously installed
1.1.5. I had also gone thru my /root/.kde tree cleaning out old
references to 1.14, 1.1.2 and the beta rc's. This got rid of some of the
old broken links from the kde 'start' menu, but nothing I can find will
redo these links and make the new stuff available from the pop-up menu on
the toolbars left end. All of the old links to openoffice modules that do
show just time out when selected.

Obviously I'm missing the point here somehow, so can someone enlighten me
as to howto 'edit' this stuff? The control center doesn't seem to make
that option available.

KDE is 3.3.0 from a konstruct build installed in /root/kde/bin etc, box is
a somewhat hacked FC2, with lots of stuff replaced by home building
tarballs when the rpms didn't fix long standing problems.

Don't have an answer for you, Gene. But I think that there may be a
bunch of people on users@openoffice.org that can help. I have added this
list so have a look there as well, please.
