Excellent - thats it.

Thanks so much - I didnt even know the ctrl button did anything on these pages.

Are there any How-Tos yet for this sort of Base stuff about?

Thanks again for your help - very much appreciated

Hi,

I have a form in OO Base where one of the fields in the table is of size
MEMO [LONGTEXT] i.e. I want to put some instructions on how to do
something in there. But I cannot seem to resize the field in the form in
order for the test to wrap onto the next line and to start from the top
of the field. Also I cant press enter in the field without saving the
record and moving onto the next one.

Any ideas?

Cheers

You need to edit that field. 1. Right click the form name in the Form section of the main page of the database. 2. Select Edit. 3. Control+right click the field. This should put 8 little green boxes around that field. 4. Right click the field or click the Control icon in the Forms Control Toolbar at the bottom.
5. If you right clicked on the field, select Control from the context menu.
6. In the General tab, "Text type" is located near the bottom. Change the "single line" setting to "multiline."
7. If you want a scroll bar, that setting is below "Text type".
8. Close the Properties window.
9. Save and close the form.
   This should do it.
