1 Yes.
2 OpenOffice does not supply an address book, per se
like Microsoft Outlook.  However, OpenOffice gives you
a choice of source data to use as your address book,
i.e. Thunderbird,  or Mozilla/Netscape, or Outlook, or
LDAP, or Window's System Address book.
File/Wizards/Address Data Source (read the user
guide).
