instead of checkboxes, a button "advanced file association settings"

there you get another window where you can select any of filetypes (deselected by default).

a warning window that asks for the second time wether you really want to associate files with oo.org.

if somebody complains after that, shoot.

It doesn't matter /how/ much effort you put in, someone will /always/ ignore the warnings (even if in 10 foot high flashing neon orange letters) and get it wrong.
