Can someone explain to me about the new icon sets (themes) in

on the icon style choices.
What do the following choices mean?
-Automatic
-Default
-HiContrast
-Industrial
-Crystal
I can guess Automatic, Default and HiContrast, and I think
Crystal has something to do with Mac, but what is Industrial?
That one really has me stumped!
Industrial is the new icon set for OOo when it's running on the Gnome
desktop. Gnome runs on Linux and other Unix-alike systems. It has been
designed by Novell. I don't know if Crystal is Mac, it doesn't look Mac.
I think it's just an alternative set.
I use Gnome on Linux and Industrial is my 'automatic' icon set. On
Windows, you would choose it explicitly of course.
This is part of an effort to make OOo look more consistent with other
applications on a given system.
Thanks, Ross. That's a useful start, but now I have some more
questions. (I'm trying to figure out how to make a generic
statement about this to put in the Getting Started guide.)
What is the difference between "Automatic" and "Default"?
What does "Automatic" do on other desktops or OS? For example,
does it set up a KDE-like icon set on a Linux system if the
desktop is KDE, not Gnome?
