OpenOffice.org (OOo) is an office suite just as MS Office is. OOo contains a componet called Impress which creates presentations just as PowerPoint does. Impress can save them in OOo's format or PowerPoint's format. Saving slide shows in PowerPoint's format is not perfect however, but rather close. One of the big differences is that Impress will not play an audio throughout the playing of the slide show while PowerPoint will.
