Try File > Print > Options > Print black.

Tried that, thanks for the guess. Nope, printout is still blueish.
I also tested X11-preferences (on the Mac, OOO X11 is started first,
than OpenOffice), where you can select Output colors -> from display,
256, thousands, millions. All of these gave the same result: black
font on screen, blueish printout. After export to PDF, black font is
printed black.

I now found its an X11 problem. Printing from an X11 terminal out of
emacs for instance also results in blueish printing. Will dig deeper
soon......
