Mr. Singleton  Just a quick note that to tell you I have been monitoring this
list for some time.  I find your assumption that you are the only person who
can read, understand and develop very curt and irritating.  As a supporter of
opensource for more years than I care to remember I really don't appriciate
your attitude and curtness.   No matter what your knowledge level is.
Do you perhaps work in the Microsoft support structure fulltime and work in
opensource during your off hours?
Rest assured that no matter how hard you try you will NOT suceed in turning me
off on open source community development.. I do think, you should consider
how many newbees you turn off and offend, people who will simply say "Its not
worth it", or "screw him" and just go back to closed source.
Assistance is appriciated by everyone, if you don't care to assist in a
helpfull positive manor it may be better for the open source community if you
just quietly go away.  Perhaps your knowledge will be missed but you attitude
will not.

And to Russ Johnson, thanks for the informative note.  You pointed me in the
correct direction. I was mistakenly searching for "postal bar code" instead
of postnet after you helpfull comments and correcting my search pattern I
found

http://jroller.com/page/santos?entry=openoffice_envelopes_with_bar_code

which has references to USPO documentation on calculating the check sum, a
link to a free USPO approved font, and a macro what has been released to all
under the "Academic Free Licence"  and most helpfull an envelope.odf file
which includes the macro..
I include this info for others, hopefully this is helpfull..

And to all who develop and support opensource keep up the good work.. Fred
