Peter,
Thanks.
I think I found the cause of the problem.
If I change the user data at Tools/Options/... then, when I do
Insert/Envelope the sender data has *not* changed. I need to 1.
Delete the data from the envelope "sender" box. 2. Unselect the
Sender (uncheck the check box) 3. Check the check box.
and lo, the details automagically appear.
So I surmise that I must have added my address details after
selecting Sender, presumably while "playing" some time ago.
All is now sweetness and light.
Still doesn't work here, but I don't view it as being very important.
Maybe I'll raise a low priority issue for it sometime.
On a very slightly different topic, my envelopes need to go into the
printer "left-side first". Let me explain. The envelopes are 22cm
(8.7in) *wide* and 10.9cm (4.3in) *high*. The 22cm is too wide for
the printer which, in any case, has special handling for envelopes.
As you may have gathered, I come from an M$ Office environment. In
that world, selecting DL size envelopes automatically turns the
address text through 90 degrees (last letter of each line at the top
of the "page") or, my preference, 270 degrees (first letter of each
line at the top of the "page"). This makes life *very* easy for
people like me with HP Officejet printers. Do your envelope templates
handle this? Do you know how to persuade OO to do this?
Sounds like a standard DL envelope to me. The templates are en route
off-list and should work 'out of the box'. They work just fine on my HP
DeskJet 970 and a Canon PIXMA MP780. I doubt that HP did anything funny
with the OfficeJet range, but let me know if you have any problems.
