Let's see if we can't get some wind in your sails. I think there is a terminological mismatch between the terms you are using and how we are understanding them. Could you tell us what experience you have of word processors so we know at what level to conduct the conversation - I don't want to patronise. When you say you "open"ed, what did you open and how? Did you click on a desktop icon for OpenOffice, or the quickstarter (I'm assuming Windows), or on the name of a file? When OOo starts up, what does it say at the top of the window? Is it OpenOffice.org Writer? Or Draw? I'm guessing it is Writer, but the box that you would see on an empty new document would be grey, not perforated. If it is grey, then it shows the margins at the edge of the page surrounding the text area, but it will not show on printing. When you reply, could you make sure you also send it to the list (Reply All) so the record is there for others. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Immanuel CRC Office" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Thursday, August 10, 2006 8:54 AM > Subject: Re: [users] Deleting a chart of mine? > > > Ray wrote: > >> I have "Open Office 1.1" I created a chart and which I cannot > >> release or cancel.
