I think OOo is different here from MS Office. OOo is more like an integrated 
suite then just a summary of applications. This also shows in the 
File/New-menu. In OOo you can start any new document you want, where in MS you 
need to start it from the windows startmenu. Whether or not this is useful is 
of course argumental, but I'm happy with it.
