[users] bad font color on a 12" powerbook running osx 10.4.8

I'm happily running OOo on different machines, win-mac-linux. On a 12" 
powerbook the fonts of the GUI as well as the writings is rather ugly. A 
mix of red and black color.
Have you any ideas on how I could manage?
