I did , and my apologies to you.

Thank you for trying to give the thread directions. It still needs to
be divided into a Windows and a UNIX thread. The solution, for most
Windows users, a de-install and re-install of Thunderbird will solve the
problem. For the UNIX types, there may be more problems. I am working
with the Mac OS X problem and it appears to be right in the hands of the
Thunderbird team. I'm hoping this is not the case with Linux.

I agree. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it. However, I am a part
of the test team and I test out new releases. I'm hoping that this gets
fixed someday. I really like to use Thunderbird vice what Apple
supplies out the box. It has more features, etc.

I know that we disagree as to the level of concern and that we no longer
need to discuss this. I just wanted to let you know where I agree with
you (yes this is a problem) and that I agree we need to continue to work
on this. I also agree that if a new release breaks things, back out and
and use the old one. However, don't keep problems a secret. I don't
know if you reported your particular problem, I do know that the problem
with Mac OS X was reported. I will check the Issue Zilla and see what
the status is of this problem.

Again, thank you for your concerns and your corrections.

James McKenzie
