I am going to try to use Ubuntu as

This will run the Linux slowly (about 1/2 speed)
but it is a test for possible replacement on a
dedicated machine.
I would like to know what versions of
what software are best out there?
I will download an OOo version
but I will want to look at more.
any advice?
Hi
Minor sin, you have hijacked a thread. Please start a new one if you are
not commenting on the original.
Ubuntu should come with a version of Openoffice.org. As I recall 2.0.2
in Dapper 6.0.6 or 2.0.4 in Edgy 6.10.
If not installed by default they will be installable by your package
manager (Synaptic, Adept, Aptitude etc.)
