Why is this?  How do I create a prepackaged slide master?  I think I found the

I think I figured out how to fix the "Available for Use" under "Task 
Pane"=>"Master Pages".  Using the steps you sent I think I was able to create 
a "prepackaged slide master"...

1a) Start with blank presentation.
> 1b) Format > Slide Design
> 2) Click Load button (bottom right).
> 3) Click the appropriate Category (My Templates, Presentations,

4b) *** Check "Delete unused backgrounds" ***

6) Click "File"=>"Templates"=>"Save..."
7) Give the Template a Name and save it.
8) Move the template from your home directory to the global templates 
directory.
9) Restart OpenOffice and I can now click on the template in the "Available 
for Use" area.


I'm guessing there is a bug with having multiple backgrounds inside a 
template.  Maybe someone can alert the developers to this bug.
