Dan:

Could also be MacIntosh.  There is no MS Office that I know of for Linux.

If it is a MacIntosh based system, we need the following information:
CPU type (G4, G5, Intel Duo are examples)
CPU speed 
Version of MacOSX 
Amount of installed Memory.
These can all be found by clicking on the Apple symbol and clicking on About 
this Mac.
