It could be that OOo is misinterpreting them, or not clearing them, or not sending the proper print command when you print 2 per page, then go to 1 per page etc., particularly if you can print OK from other applications. Can you try: 1. Turning the printer off & reboot the PC, 2. Turn the printer back on, 2. Open a new OOo session (Writer) write a single word in the doc, 3. File|Print (don't change any properties), print the doc. 4. Open previous document that you'd tried to print before & do the same as 3.
