Download the current version of OpenOffice (2.2.1)
<http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.1/index.html> and install it on your
computer. It will open Excel (except XL2007) files for you. You may have to
right-click and select "open with" or at OOo install time, check the boxes to
associate OpenOffice with the various MS file suffices.
