You can also go to the INSERT menu and choose FRAME. You'll get a special box 
drawing cursor which you drag from the upper left corner to the lower right 
corner to establish the size. You can type text into the frame. Then, you can 
right click on the frame to set various properties, such as degree of rotation 
(0-360°), text color, border color/width, alignment, wrapping, etc. You can 
also choose where you wish to anchor your text frame.
   
  Or you can click on VIEW > TOOLBARS > DRAWING. From the Draw Toolbar you can 
choose text frame among many other options such as background color, font, 
points, square corners, round corners, etc.
