In emails that I receive with PowerPoint attachments-----the attachments do not open and the following error message occurs----

"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."

--------which in the past has meant that the software does not exist. However I have OpenOffice and Microsoft PowerPoint View-----but neither are working for some strange reason. I downloaded trial software for Microsoft Professional Office (or whatever) and the PowerPoint attachments worked perfectly.

Hello. Please reply to users@openoffice.org and not directly to me.

Impress is included in the download at
http://download.openoffice.org/index.html.
Please provide details on what you mean by "not able to open and view PowerPoint
attachments".

Quoting Joyce Hendrickson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

Thank you for your response.
Where and how do I find a download for Impress component? I do not
understand how to get this component?
At this time although I have installed OpenOffice I am not able to open and
view Power Point attachments. Do you know why?

Thank you again---
Joyce Hendrickson
