I am using Openoffice.org v2.2.1. The limitation of spreadsheet in Calc is
256 columns. I need more of the columns.
Is that going to be fixed in some future version of Openoffice.org? Maybe
some future version will have, let's say, 10000 columns? Is that possible?
There is a request for enhancement already lodged for OOo to support the
same number of columns (and rows) as Office... Timeframe for this to be
implemented is unknown.
However if you find yourself using more than 256 columns, it might be that a
spreadsheet is not what your after... Potentially a DB (ie, base) is more
suited to your tasks.
