First please make sure that the time on your machine is set correctly (your
email indicates that the time on your machine is "Thursday 26 April 2007".
Also to install any software on your system, you should first try to use the
system installation mechanisms ( launchpad or synaptic ?).
After this if you have a specific question then we should be able to help you.
