Then, for pity's sake, USE A REAL EMAIL PROGRAM to read the list!

I use Thunderbird, which seems to be the one recommended by most people on this list when people as if OOo has an email component to replace Outlook. Is it not a real email program? Why are you shouting?

There is not this problem on any of the Mozilla newsgroups I follow. To
post by email on them, you have to subscribe. They have none of this
unsubscribed posters BS.

So what? This is an email list, not a newsgroup! If you insist, for whatever reason, on reading it from a news server, please stop trying to prevent the rest of us from helping others that haven't subscribed.

I use Gmane so I can just download the headers and only download the body of the messages that I wish to read. It is much more reasonable to do this on a list that has the volume of postings that this one does. I have never tried to prevent anyone from helping others, subscribed or unsubscribed. I am not the only one pointing out the problems caused by allowing unsubscribed posters. Many who read it through emails agree. It is nothing to do with using a news server.
