Apparently there is more to it. We are still being prompted when we do this in 
our test environment (Root User). Don't yell at me I don't control the users 
who OO runs as! :)

Any other ideas anyone?

Copy ~/.openoffice.org2 into the home directory of each user who requires use
of the program.
