I am also experiencing the same problem. I scroll down or up in a
large document and I get bounced back to the same place. The only way
round it is to use Page up or Page down. Sometimes even that does not
work and I am forced to use the arrow keys to move the cursor so I can
get to where I want to edit the document.
Tunning OpenOffice 2.3 on a windows Vista Home Basic os. Using AMD
Turion 64 processor.
I have experienced similar "problems" with MS Word & Excel. What I
discovered is that even tho the page scrolled, the insertion point
hadn't moved. My solution was to left click the mouse in the text area
where I wanted to work. This moved the insertion point to where I
wanted it. Try this procedure to see if it will solve your problem.
Good Luck.

It works sometimes but your reactions must be very quick. Also often you
cannot get to the point on the document where you want to make any changes.
Any other ideas?
