From your information I found that I can type the name of the column in the cell over the name of the column that was created when the paste Special was done. I then drag the cell with the name I typed in to the cell below (to the cell with the name of the column created by the Paste Special). The name of the column is now capable of being found by the Find & Replace function.
You are rather making life complicated for yourself here. You are apparently (1) copying the text from another cell, (2) pasting a link to that cell into the cell in question, (3) typing what you need in the wrong cell, and then (4) moving that into the correct cell, replacing what you so carefully put there first.
You want a name in a cell. Why not just (1) type it directly in that cell? Brian Barker --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
